My Big Knit
The Big Knit is a charity partnership between Innocent smoothies and Age UK which asks crafty souls across the UK to knit little hats to top Innocent smoothie bottles. Every hatted bottle sold raises 25p to help Age UK support older people with services and personal support. My Big Knit journey took off during lockdown; I had 14 days of isolation ahead with nothing to do. One thing I did have however was a lot of wool!! Feeling rather uninspired, I needed a new project that I could jump in and out of. I never knew how far My Big Knit journey would go! The Big Knit really helped me develop my knitting and as the hats go on there is a clear improvement in my style (apologies to those who receive slightly clumsier hats!) . It's been so much fun learning new stitches and just generally creating these tiny little joys ♥ My friend and I set an aim to create 100 hats by the end of our University year... and we absolutely smashed it!
